1 in 5 finance leaders of large companies in Singapore unprepared for digital transformation: report

SINGAPORE (Oct 10): As the fastest-growing and most dynamic region for business anywhere in the world, many Asia Pacific companies are now setting the pace globally in technology-led business transformation.

But while a recent report has revealed that an overwhelming majority, or some 94%, of finance leaders in large companies in Singapore are driving digital transformation initiatives, one in five of these leaders say their teams are unprepared to do so. 

Close to half of Singaporean workers plan to quit their current jobs within a year: survey

SINGAPORE (July 12): Singaporean workers have the highest expected turnover rate in Asia Pacific, according to a study by enterprise cloud applications provider Workday and global market intelligence firm IDC.

Some 46% of Singaporean employees say they intend to leave their current jobs within 12 months, followed by Malaysia (38%) and Australia (35%).

Japanese workers are most likely in the region to stay in their current roles, with only 23% saying they plan to leave their current jobs within a year.

Themed Engaging Singapore’s Workforce of the Future the event was hosted by cloud-based software provider Workday.  Panellists included Human Capital Leader Institute’s CEO Wong Su-Yen; MediaCorp’s VP, Digital Marketing, Miguel Bernas; and Merle Chen, CHRO of Lo & Behold Group.
