DBS launches team to cater to more retail F&B SMEs expanding overseas

SINGAPORE (Feb 12): DBS has established a dedicated team to cater to the financial needs of local Food & Beverage and food manufacturing companies expanding overseas.

F&B customers can tap into the bank’s expertise in financial structures, cash management and foreign exchange solutions to help better manage their cashflow.

Moreover, customers can also benefit from DBS’s Asian network, as well as its domain knowledge in areas such as rental, manpower and taxation in the markets they seek to expand into.

SINGAPORE (Sept 26): Singapore’s small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are confident in the local economy’s outlook for the next 12 months despite ongoing global political tensions, China’s slowing growth and declining international trade.

This is according to independent financial services firm Bibby Financial Services (BFS), whose annual Global Business Monitor has featured Singapore for the first time in its latest edition of the survey, which features data from sectors including wholesale, business services and manufacturing.

Local co-working startup Spacemob announces $7.9 mil in seed funding

SINGAPORE (Nov 23): Spacemob, a co-working startup based in Singapore, today announced the closing of a record US$5.5 million ($7.85 million) seed funding round.

This represents “the largest seed funding round figure ever recorded in Southeast Asia”, announces the company in a Wednesday release.
