SingHealth hacker's 'sophisticated' malware fooled even top anti-virus experts

SINGAPORE (Oct 5): Malware used to penetrate Singapore Health Services’ patient database system in June was so sophisticated that it tricked even experts at a top anti-virus firm, Solicitor-General Kwek Mean Luck revealed today at a public hearing convened by the Committee of Inquiry (COI) into the SingHealth cyberattack.

DuPont and Medtronic to open Singapore regional HQs

SINGAPORE (June 16): US-listed E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Co. and Medtronic PLC are among companies opening up Asia-Pacific regional headquarters in Singapore.

Besides being a hub for R&D, Singapore offers regional connectivity to help companies tap emerging markets.

Medical device maker Medtronic has also signed an initial pact with the island nation's largest health service provider, Singapore Health Services, to share knowledge on diabetes management.
