CapitaLand's Raffles City Chongqing saw shopper traffic of 900,000 on opening weekend

SINGAPORE (Sept 9): Over 900,000 shoppers visited CapitaLand’s largest Raffles City development, Raffles City Chongqing, during the mall’s opening weekend. 

The mall is the largest to open in Chongqing this year, with about 40% of the 400 international and local brands being new-to-market brands, flagships or new concepts – including C&A, Old Navy and GAP. 

The 235,000 sqm shopping mall was the first component in the 1.12 million sqm megastructure to open its doors to the public on Friday. 

CapitaLand achieves 95% retail leasing for Raffles City Chongqing ahead of opening

SINGAPORE (July 29): CapitaLand’s Raffles City Chongqing has achieved 95% leasing rate for its retail component ahead of its opening in September.

The shopping mall spans over 235,000 sqm and will be the first component in this 1.12 million sqm megastructure to begin operations. The mall will stand five-storeys tall and house more than 400 brands, comprising a mix of local specialty brands and well-known international brands. About 40% of the brands at the mall will be new-to-market brands, flagships or new concepts.

CapitaLand announces topping out of Raffles City Chongqing; says on track to open by 2H19

SINGAPORE (Feb 25): CapitaLand says it has successfully topped out the eighth and final skyscraper of Raffles City Chongqing as the group enters the final lap of preparation works to open the 1.12 million sq m megastructure in 2H19.

Once completed, the development will bring together 150,000 sq m of Grade ‘A’ office space; about 1,400 residential apartments; Ascott Raffles City Chongqing serviced residence and InterContinental Raffles City Chongqing hotel; and a 235,000 sq m shopping mall.

CapitaLand says Raffles City Chongqing 80% completed, on track to open in phases from 2Q19

SINGAPORE (July 4):  CapitaLand says its construction of Raffles City Chongqing is about 80% completed, with the 1.12 million sq m megastructure on track to open in phases from 2Q next year.

The update comes as part of a progress report to Singapore deputy prime minister (DPM) Teo Chee Hean, who visited the development site today.

As Singapore’s largest single-development in China at about $4.9 billion, Raffles City Chongqing began construction over five years ago and is located on Chaotianmen in Chongqing, China.

Secura wins first security consultancy contract in China

SINGAPORE (Sept 9): Secura Group, the provider of security products, services and solutions, announced wholly-owned subsidiary, Soverus Consultancy and Services has won a contract to provide security consultancy services to Raffles City Chongqing, an upcoming integrated development in China.
