ISDN kept at 'add' by CGS-CIMB on value-add, growth opportunities and strong partnerships

SINGAPORE (July 1): CGS-CIMB Research is maintaining ISDN Holdings at “add” with a target price of $0.32 on the back of the company’s core business strength of providing value-added motion control solutions and strong partnerships.

Apart from not competing in the mass market and price-competitive core motor space, ISDN adds value by offering solutions that incorporate its principals’ motors to customers, rather than selling them the motors on a standalone basis.

Lendlease announces US$1 billion data centre partnership

SINGAPORE (July 1): Sydney-based leading international property and infrastructure group, Lendlease has announced a partnership to invest in data centres across the Asia Pacific region.

The initial equity commitment by the parties is US$500 million ($676 million), combined with leverage will enable the partnership to invest US$1 billion ($1.4 billion) in the sector.

SIA, Malaysia Airlines sign MOU for wide-ranging cooperation

SINGAPORE (June 27): Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) on Thursday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore a wide-ranging strategic partnership to build on their existing codeshare agreement that covers flights between Singapore and Malaysia.

The enhanced ties between the duo could include a significant expansion of codeshare flights beyond Singapore-Malaysia routes, as well as enhancements on the frequent flier programme front.

Other potential co-operation could involve cargo and maintenance, repair and overhaul services.

Hyundai Motor scores additional hybrid taxi deal with ComfortDelgro

SINGAPORE (June 24): Hyundai Motor’s footprint is set to expand further in Singapore’s taxi market, as it receives an additional order for 2,000 Ioniq hybrid taxis from ComfortDelgro.

On Monday, Hyundai says it had signed a deal with ComfortDelgro to deliver 1,500 Ioniq hybrids by the end of the year with the remaining 500 units by the first half of 2020.

Hyundai says the partnership between both companies dates back to 2007 and just last year, the two signed a 1,200-unit deal after ComfortDelgro expanded its lineup to include Ioniq hybrids.

Razer partners Visa to develop virtual prepaid payment solution for Razer Pay users

SINGAPORE (June 24): Razer Inc, the homegrown manufacturer of gaming laptops and gear, and digital payments leader Visa have partnered up to transform payments in the gaming industry by bringing Visa’s global network to Razer Pay e-wallet users.

In the partnership, Razer’s financial technology arm, Razer Fintech, will join Visa’s fintech fast-track programme, which is designed to make it easier for fintechs to access the global Visa payments network.

Air New Zealand teams up with ST Engineering to trial use of drones for aircraft inspection

SINGAPORE (June 17): Air New Zealand will use drones to carry out inspection checks of its aircraft when they undergo heavy maintenance checks at its facility near Changi Airport – with some help from ST Engineering’s Aerospace.

DroScan, an unmanned drone system developed by ST Engineering, will deploy a drone take a planned route around the outside of an aircraft to inspect its surface and produce high definition images.

BreadTalk launches Singapore's first Wu Pao Chun Bakery

SINGAPORE (June 17): BreadTalk announced that Wu Pao Chun has launched its first bakery in Capitol Singapore on June 14.

The 350 sqm bakery, which is named after the founder, is the result of a partnership between BreadTalk Group and Wu Pao Chun.

SingPost partners Synagie to provide on-demand warehousing and logistics solutions for SMEs

SINGAPORE (May 15): Singapore Post (SingPost) and Synagie Corporation will be collaborating to provide on-demand warehousing and fulfilment solutions to SMEs in Singapore and Southeast Asia.

SMEs in SE Asia will now be able to utilise state-of-the-art warehousing and fulfilment services provided by SingPost’s subsidiary Quantium Solutions, and powered by Synagie’s cloud commerce platform.

Ascendas-Singbridge partners Mitsui to own & operate two office buildings in Shanghai

SINGAPORE (Feb 14): Ascendas-Singbridge Group and Mitsui Co have signed an agreement to jointly own and operate two office buildings in Shanghai, Ascendas Innovation Place (AIP) and Ascendas Plaza (AP), through a 55:45 partnership.

Ascendas-Singbridge is jointly owned by Temasek Holdings and JTC Corporation through a 51:49 partnership, while Mitsui is one of the largest general trading houses in Japan. 

SingPost and Park N Parcel sign MOU for last-mile platform collaboration

SINGAPORE (Nov 7): Singapore Post (SingPost) announced it will be partnering Park N Parcel to include the latter’s collection points included within SingPost’s first-of-its-kind integrated last-mile platform (LaMP).

Under this partnership, Park N Parcel’s more than 1,600 individuals/retail stores that have registered themselves to collect parcels on behalf of the neighbours, or Parkers, will be included within the LaMP.
