SINGAPORE (May 17): 2.2 million seats are left unsold every day around the world, translating to significant lost revenue for thousands of commercial airlines globally.

Now, there is now an app that lets passengers seek bargain airfares by bidding for last-minute left over seats while helping airlines fill empty seats at the same time.

ATA.ONE is currently only available in Europe and the Middle East. 

OCBC Bank launches one-stop digital business dashboard for SME customers

SINGAPORE (Jan 14): Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation (OCBC) has officially launched a digital business dashboard to provide its small-medium enterprise (SME) banking customers access to a number of popular digital apps, such as Facebook and MailChimp, from a single platform.  

The move comes after a soft launch for the dashboard was carried out with a select group of customers in Dec 2018.

Currently, OCBC Bank has integrated more than 40 business apps, where costs range from nothing to approximately US$200 ($270.63) per month, onto its new web-browser based platform.

Cardless cash withdrawal service launched at 7-Eleven stores for POSB, DBS & StanChart clients

SINGAPORE (19 June): POSB, DBS and Standard Chartered bank customers may now withdraw cash from their accounts at all 7-Eleven stores in Singapore via the soCash app, without the need for an ATM card or PIN code.

The new cardless cash withdrawal service, which has been in effect since June 1, comes as part of 7-Eleven’s collaboration with Singapore-based fintech start-up soCash to see the integration of the latter’s proprietary digital cash circulation platform into 7-Eleven’s retail network of more than 370 stores island-wide.

Grab replaces UberEATS in Singapore with beta launch of GrabFood app

SINGAPORE (May 28): Grab today announced the beta launch of its GrabFood delivery app in Singapore, with further plans to make the app and its services available in five other Southeast Asian countries – Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines – by the end of 2Q18.

GrabFood is positioned as an “everyday app” to provide Southeast Asian consumers transport, food, delivery and payments services within a single platform.

DBS launches digibank by DBS app in Indonesia

SINGAPORE (Aug 30): DBS Bank has launched its digibank by DBS app, a new-era, paperless mobile banking solution, in Indonesia.

This comes as part of the bank’s strategy to capture new market share from a growing base of Internet-savvy banking consumers by offering a digital solution to the old physical limitations of traditional banking.

The launch in Indonesia follows DBS’ roll-out of the app last April in India, where it has been able to win over 1.5 million new customers thus far with its new approach to banking.
