SINGAPORE (Dec 14): Company size matters when it comes to working capital performance, which, when managed well, could help to improve business performance and revenue growth.

This is according to the Singapore Working Capital Study 2017 jointly conducted by Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) Singapore and SPRING Singapore, which looked at over 1,000 public and private companies across 15 industries in Singapore.

Why Singaporeans are more likely to ‘shop local’ in a cosmopolitan retail environment

SINGAPORE (April 11): More Singaporeans are preferring to “shop local” as they tend to feel more valued by home-grown brands as compared to their international counterparts, according to recent data from International Customer Loyalty Programmes Limited or ICLP.

32% of the 750 consumers surveyed by the Hong Kong-based loyalty marketing agency say they expect local brands to show appreciation for their regular patronage, with a close 35% expecting the same of international brands.

Facebook sales top estimates on gains in mobile


SAN FRANCISCO (Feb 2): Facebook Inc.’s fourth-quarter revenue climbed more than forecast, driven by advertisers’ continued push to reach consumers on mobile phones.

The world’s largest social-media company said sales jumped 51% to US$8.81 billion ($12.5 billion), topping the US$8.51 billion average analyst projection. Monthly active users on its main social network increased 17% from a year earlier to 1.86 billion people, with 1.23 billion checking daily and 1.74 billion accessing it via their smartphones, Facebook said Wednesday in a statement.
