Frasers Property, Hitachi sign $100 mil MOU to drive digital transformation in APAC real estate industry

SINGAPORE (Oct 16): Mainboard-listed Frasers Property is working with Hitachi Asia to drive digital transformation in the real estate industry in Asia Pacific over the next five years.

The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in a collaboration involving an investment of up to $50 million each.

According to the MOU, the companies will explore opportunities to help accelerate digital transformation for the Frasers Property group and the real estate industry.

DSTA, Rolls-Royce to collaborate on digital technology

SINGAPORE (July 24): The Defence Science and Technology Agency (DSTA) and Rolls-Royce jointly announced that they will be collaborating on a digital technology project to boost efforts in the development and deployment of new technologies to optimise engine maintenance.

This follows the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to partner on digital service solutions at the Farnborough Air Show in UK earlier in July 2018.

Great Eastern partners Doctor Anywhere to launch tech-enabled integrated health services

The MOU builds on the existing collaborating between the insurance company and healthtech company to spearhead and launch a variety of integrated health and wellness tech services to bolster healthcare coverage and give greater convenience to GE’s customers.

Malaysia Airlines' new plan targets 2022 break-even

KUALA LUMPUR (July 15): Malaysia Airlines Bhd’s new long-term business plan (LTBP), which is still awaiting approval from the Khazanah Nasional Bhd board of directors, would see the national carrier achieve financial breakeven by 2022 and generate enough income to cover the cost of capital for its operations two years later.

This was revealed by group CEO Izham Ismail in a circular sent to staff on July 11, which was sighted by The Edge. However, he did not say when the airline could turn a profit under the proposed business plan.

SIA, Malaysia Airlines sign MOU for wide-ranging cooperation

SINGAPORE (June 27): Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) on Thursday inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to explore a wide-ranging strategic partnership to build on their existing codeshare agreement that covers flights between Singapore and Malaysia.

The enhanced ties between the duo could include a significant expansion of codeshare flights beyond Singapore-Malaysia routes, as well as enhancements on the frequent flier programme front.

Other potential co-operation could involve cargo and maintenance, repair and overhaul services.

Oceanus inks MOU with Temasek Poly to collaborate on aquaculture research

SINGAPORE (June 26): Oceanus Group, the premium seafood value chain manager, has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Temasek Polytechnic to collaborate with the Aquaculture Innovation Centre (AIC) consortium in aquaculture research activities.

Oceanus’ subsidiary, Oceanus Oceanic Institute (OOI), will collaborate with the AIC consortium in areas such as joint research, intellectual assets enhancement projects and providing student training opportunities in the group’s farm.

CCOIC is China’s national business association that aims to promote trade and collaboration between its member companies and global organisations  

ST Logistics partners NTUC, NUS to drive skills-upgrading of local logistics workforce

SINGAPORE (Jan 31): ST Logistics has signed two company-to-institution memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with NTUC LearningHub and the National University Singapore as part of its aim to upskill Singapore’s logistics workforce.

A signing ceremony was held between all three entities at Toll City today.

The first MoU with NTUC LearningHub marks the start of skills-upgrading efforts between NTUC LearningHub and ST Logistics.
