Lian Beng secures contract worth $173 mil; order book boosted to record $1.6 bil

SINGAPORE (Oct 24): Mainboard-listed construction firm Lian Beng Group reported that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lian Beng Construction, has secured a contract worth $173 million for the proposed construction of a condominium housing development at River Valley Close. 

Lian Beng's order book boosted to $1.5 bil after bagging $235 mil contract

SINGAPORE (July 8): Homegrown construction and property group Lian Beng kicked FY2020 off on a strong note, after securing a contract worth $234.7 million for the construction of a fresh food distribution centre for NTUC Fairprice. 

Located at Sunview Road, part of the Boon Lay Planning Area, the development is designed by Surbana Jurong and spans 301,000 sf.

The contract was secured via tender through its 60%-owned subsidiary, United Tec Construction, and is slated to start in August 2019 and is expected to be completed by July 2021.

Lian Beng awarded $162 mil contract to construct Martin Place condo

SINGAPORE (Sept 15): Lian Beng Construction (1988), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lian Beng Group, has been awarded a contract worth approximately $162 million to construct a condominium housing development at Martin Place.

The development comprises two blocks of 30-storey condominium with a total of 450 housing units with a landscape deck, common basement carparks, and communal facilities on lot 01590P of the property, and its contract secured by Lian Beng through tender from Martin Modern.

Works are expected commence in Sept 2017 over a contractual period of 32 months.

Lian Beng wins $435 mil construction contract from HDB

SINGAPORE (March 6): Lian Beng Group’s wholly-own subsidiary, Lian Beng Construction, has secured a $435 million contract from the Housing & Development Board (HDB) to build a high-rise multi-user industrial complex at Kim Chuan Road.

Named Defu Industrial City, the industrial complex is part of HDB’s initiative to redevelop the 30-year-old Defu industrial estate under the HDB masterplan.

In an SGX filing on Monday, Lian Beng says this is the group’s largest-ever construction contract. It brings Lian Beng’s order book to approximately $644 million as at March 6.
