One of her first tasks was to persuade investors to put their money in Tembusu’s funds. After six months of trying, she had to admit defeat. “I was really bad at it,” she tells The Edge Singapore in a recent interview.

FundedX launch shows desire of investors to move to secondary-market investment despite risks: update

SINGAPORE (July 31): FundedHere, the Singapore-based crowdfunding platform, on Tuesday launched FundedX, a secondary broker platform that facilitates the trading of shares in high-growth startups and privately-held companies in Southeast Asia.

FundedHere established this platform with the aim to transform the Southeast Asian private market by creating new opportunities for investors and providing much needed liquidity for shareholders of privately-held companies in the region.

Crowdfunding platform FundedHere raises capital for F&B mobile ordering and payments app

SINGAPORE (Apr 18): Crowdfunding platform FundedHere says it has raised "a significant amount of capital" for Waitrr, a first-of-its-kind “mobile waiter” app.

Waitrr works by automating food orders to eliminate users’ wait times when dining in restaurants or ordering takeaway food. It speeds up services in restaurants across Singapore by letting diners order food and make instant payments on their smartphone devices.

The app contains the full menu of its onboarded restaurants and orders on the app go directly to the kitchen.

SINGAPORE (March 28): FundedHere, Singapore’s first licensed equity and debt-based crowdfunding platform, plans to reach out to Professional Investors (PI) in Singapore while exploring opportunities to expand in Malaysia and Indonesia.

FundedHere said it will begin offering crowdfunded equity or lending opportunities to private investors other than Accredited Investors (AIs) since it was awarded a Capital Markets Services license by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in March 2016.

Metech raises $2 mil in 20 days through crowdfunded bonds

SINGAPORE (Dec 8): Electronic waste management firm Metech International has raised $2 million through a crowdfunded bonds issuance programme in just 20 days, Singapore-based equity-based and lending crowdfunding platform FundedHere announced on Thursday.

Metech said on Nov 29 said it would issue the bonds through FundedHere to raise $2 million to expand its supply chain business.

The offering gives investors an annual coupon of 8% for two years.

The bonds were fully subscribed by 23 accredited investors after it was uploaded on FundedHere’s online platform.

FundedHere to help Metech raise $2 mil through bond issue

SINGAPORE (Nov 29): Metech International will be the first listed company to raise funds through bonds on homegrown crowdfunding platform, FundedHere.

Metech, the e-waste management solutions provider, aims to issue $2 million worth of bonds at an annual coupon rate of 8% over 24 months. The company will use to proceeds to expand its supply chain business.

SGX’s Central Depository will be used for the bonds issue and bondholders will receive interest payments in their CDP accounts.

FundedHere will be the first private funding platform to use CDP as a depository.
