Ageing proprietors of heritage businesses look askance at offer of a digital future

Singtel partners polytechnics to help heritage-brand SMEs go digital

SINGAPORE (May 30): Singtel has forged partnerships with Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Temasek Polytechnic to help small and medium enterprises (SMEs) with heritage adopt digital technology.

The partnership is part of the 99% SME initiative, which aims to help SMEs leverage digital tools to get online, reach out to a wider customer base, and develop e-commerce capabilities. It also supports the recommendation of the Committee for the Future Economy (CFE) to help SMEs adopt digital technologies.

SINGAPORE (March 13): SMEs in the retail and F&B sectors can now equip their staff with digital skills at heavily subsidised courses offered at local polytechnics.

In an announcement made on Monday, Singtel, in partnership with Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) – Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS) and Singapore Polytechnic (SP), now offers SMEs subsidies of up to 90% on courses that teach employees digital skills.

Singtel partners Lazada Singapore to launch 99% SME e-marketplace

SINGAPORE (Feb 28): Singtel has partnered online shopping website Lazada Singapore to launch the 99% SME e-marketplace.

It is a dedicated portal hosted on Lazada.sg for local Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to advertise their offerings and tap on a wider online customer base.
