SINGAPORE (July 9): Zegna artistic director Alessandro Sartori keeps its sartorial style for 2019 light, fresh and sporty. This season the styles clash, in a fashionable way that is. Shirts and jackets get the hybrid treatment with an oversize fit, along with experimental collars and playful double sleeves. Bombers and anoraks are paired with tailored high-waisted double pleat trousers — an unusual combination, but it works in the creative hands of Sartori. Parkas, long or short, are made to look like oversized shirts. For the prints, Dégradé (colours from intense to lighter shades) checks are matched with perforation and mesh fabrics. The colours come in a riot of pale blue, pink, green, sunflower yellow, mocha, loganberry red and much more. Let’s not forget the footwear — the sneakers and sandals make a bold, fashionable statement.

Jinkx it
Loewe has launched a line of sunglasses for fall 2018 in three styles — Puzzle Medium, Tyra and Jinkx. They combine the beauty of leather, metal and acetate. The Jinkx collection caught our attention with its straight and rectangular shape and stitched leather front.

‘Crazy Hours’
Franck Muller’s most iconoclastic complication, the Crazy Hours, marks its 15th anniversary this year with a spectacular collection of Asia exclusive editions. Housed in Franck Muller’s famous Cintrée Curvex case, the “Crazy Hours 15th Anniversary Asia Exclusive” brims with caprice and personality.
At the heart of the watch is the world-renowned Crazy Hours complication, which has enthralled horological aficionados for years. The dial shows time in the most unconventional fashion — the hour numerals are not displayed in order. After every 60 minutes, the hour hand jumps to the next correct number, often snapping almost halfway across the dial to do so. This technical feat is matched by a sense of youthfulness and fun. The timepiece is available in 40 combinations and comes in stainless steel, stainless steel with diamonds, rose gold, or rose gold with diamonds, as well as in three sizes.

A hand-wound design
IWC Schaffhausen has expanded the Portofino Collection with two new watches. The Portofino Hand-Wound Eight Days (ref IW510116) features a stylish deep-blue dial, which is a pleasant contrast to the stainless steel Milanaise bracelet. The timepieces are driven by a 59210 manufacture calibre and boast 192 hours — or eight days — of running. After this period, the movement stops automatically, although it is designed to run smoothly for nine days, guaranteeing a constant driving torque for eight days. Its integrated power reserve, with a separate dial display, reminds the owner to wind the watch at the right time — a weekly ritual that watch connoisseurs look forward to.
