Orchard Road is famous for its vibrant energy and luxury offerings. A new standout has emerged amid this lively scene: The Singapore Edition. Marking the brand’s Southeast Asian debut, this hotel opened last November on Cuscaden Road and has quickly become known for hosting some of the most exciting parties in town.
Synonymous with luxury and sophistication, the Edition Hotels brand was founded through a collaboration between hotel visionary Ian Schrager, who created the legendary Studio 54 nightclub and Marriott International. With nearly 20 properties worldwide, including the new location in Singapore, Edition Hotels stands out for its exceptional quality.
Limited EDITION lounge
Designed by Safdie Architects in collaboration with DP Architects, The Singapore Edition combines modern minimalism with serene greenery. The hotel’s entrance offers a peaceful, white-hued sanctuary that sets it apart from the bustling Orchard Road. The lobby features a white Venetian plaster staircase, a signature element of Edition Hotels and a popular photo spot.
Green spaces around the hotel include a stunning skypark and a lushly planted sunken garden. The conservatory just beyond the lobby sports over 300 plants and 162 green spheres suspended from the ceiling.

Garden Premier King
More than 200 spacious guest rooms are spread over six floors, each designed for a serene and sophisticated retreat. With warm white rugs, custom white oak-planked floors and deep-seated sofas, the rooms exude comfort and style. We spend a night in a Garden King Room; this room type spans 38 sq m to 47 sq m, meaning there’s plenty of space to lounge around and even do some yoga. In the bathroom are a shower, a large bathtub and Le Labo bathroom amenities in a signature scent that is found only in Edition Hotels worldwide.

Though it may be tempting to stay in your room, don’t miss the rooftop pool: its glass floor offers a unique view of the courtyard below. Our favourite part of the stay comes at the second-floor spa, where we enjoy the Edition Signature Massage. This relaxing experience uses a blend of oils with the Edition brand’s signature Black Tea scent by Le Labo. The spa also has a sauna, steam room and vitality pool, which are available even if you don’t book a treatment.
FYSH at EDITION
For breakfast, we visit FYSH, where the morning spread is served semi-buffet style. The usual items — cold cuts, yoghurt, fruit and bread — are on the buffet table, while dishes like eggs and pancakes are made to order.
As dinner approaches, FYSH transforms into a vibrant dining experience. The menu, designed by celebrity chef Josh Niland, features diverse fish dishes, including tuna cheeseburgers, noodles made from ground fish bones and swordfish schnitzels. Even the desserts incorporate fish ingredients!
The Punch Room
Next, we head to the Punch Room, where we enjoy a selection of signature cocktails, embracing the playful theme of the bar. On Fridays and Saturdays, from 2 pm to 5 pm, the Punch Room offers afternoon tea featuring an assortment of light bites. We sample poached lobster and black truffle cheese doughnuts while sipping signature punches and tea.
