The former Hilton Singapore gets a refreshing facelift and a new name — voco, which is Latin for “to invite” or “to call together”. Now owned by IHG Hotels & Resorts, voco Orchard Singapore combines the reassurance of a big brand with the informality and charm of an individual hotel, providing guests with a fun, unstuffy yet premium experience.

The 51-year-old iconic property will continue to offer 423 guest rooms, with four well-loved restaurants and bars — Opus Bar & Grill, D9 Cakery, il Cielo and Iggy’s, a rooftop swimming pool, a 24-hour gym and over 1,850sqm of meeting and social event spaces.

The “voco Experience” package combines familiar touches and warm hospitality with playful twists. Guests will enjoy swift check-ins and homemade spiced cookies as a welcome treat. “Me time” beckons, in guestrooms with signature voco touches, such as high-quality bedding made from 100% recycled materials and eco-friendly large-size bathroom amenities from Apotheke, a plant-based organic skincare brand. Room rate starts from $230++ per night per room, and includes complimentary breakfast for two adults and 10% discount at Opus Bar & Grill.

SEE
Night at the Museum

Museum of Ice cream

The Museum of Ice Cream is introducing an all-new Night at the Museum experience to help deepen relationships through a series of meaningful activities and intimate conversations.

A key activity is Cone-nection Cube — a series of quests for guests to complete that leads them to open up to one another, connect, and form fond memories. The reward for completing the challenge is a celebratory sprinkle shot at the al fresco bar. Post-Night at the Museum, couples can adjourn to the al fresco Café and Bar and admire the twinkling night sky while sipping on a Pink-a-Colada or Brewlander craft beers.

Tickets start from $48, and the night experience, which takes 60 to 90 minutes, comes with a Hendrick’s Lunar Gin cocktail and unlimited sweet treats. Book online at tickets.museumoficecream.sg.

A Journey Through the Poetry of Time
Van Cleef & Arpels

Traverse through time and discover the beauty of Van Cleef & Arpels’ exquisite timepieces at a special by-reservation-only exhibition, now on till Feb 20 at Sands Expo Hall B, Marina Bay Sands. Entitled “A Journey Through the Poetry of Time”, the week-long event will demonstrate the intricacies of the art of enamelling and other watchmaking processes, showcasing timeless masterpieces and a glimpse of its latest contemporary creations.

Presented in a dreamlike setting that recreates the charm of Paris, the exhibition invites visitors into the heart of the Van Cleef & Arpels universe with various themed galleries honouring its sources of inspirations — love stories, fairies and ballerinas, poetic astronomy and enchanting nature.

To engage young minds, the event will hold a series of workshops catered to children aged 4 to 10 years old, where each child will receive a welcome art kit that allows them to create their very own 3D model of Paris.

Admission is free and strictly by appointment only at poetry-of-time.register.vancleefarpels-event.com
