Outdoor treasure hunt
Time Heist: Civic District
Experience the Civic District in a new way as you take in the rich history of the monuments in Singapore’s first outdoor “treasure hunt meets virtual theatre and game-play”, featuring the five arts and culture icons of the Civic District.
Combining treasure hunt mechanics with multi-disciplinary storytelling, Time Heist: Civic District is an outdoor “escape room” adventure that presents the rich stories of Asian Civilisations Museum, Esplanade—Theatres on the Bay, National Gallery Singapore, The Arts House, and Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall through immersive gamification.
Led by executive producer Derrick Chew, written by award-winning playwright Chong Tze Chien (Sight Lines Entertainment) and starring Hossan Leong (Double Confirm Productions), the interactive format comes to life via a web link accessed through QR codes. Using their mobile devices, players can easily immerse themselves into the world of Time Heist, putting their knowledge and mettle to the test.
Bring your friends along on a journey around the district to complete a variety of puzzles and quests. The most stylish and creative team walks away with a 2D1N stay at Marina Bay Sands. The event is running till July 3. Standard tickets are priced at $40 for one — bundled deals are also available — via www.sightlines.com.sg.

Discover Notre-Dame de Paris
Alliance Française de Singapour
A universal symbol of Paris and a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, Notre-Dame de Paris cathedral has fascinated and inspired pilgrims and tourists for more than eight centuries. Three years ago on April 15, 2019, the historical monument was ravaged by a dreadful fire that shook the world. To discover the legacy of this French monument and its five-year restoration project, Alliance Française de Singapour invites you to the (RE)BIRTHS exhibition, now on till June 15.
The main exhibition presents the history of Notre-Dame in 3D models, virtual reality, videos, photographs and computer-generated images, investigating the origins of the cathedral’s construction from the first stone to the renovation site. There are artworks of the cathedral on display by French-speaking cartoonists, plus a photo exhibition by French photographer Michel Setboun, with limited edition prints for sale. Fringe events such as talks, film screenings and workshops will also take place during the two-month long exhibition. A must-see is Jules and Gedeon Naudet’s documentary Notre-Dame de Paris about the heroes of the fateful night of the blaze.

Sake forged through partnerships
One year after kappo fine dining restaurant Ichigo Ichie launched its sanpō yoshi menu — created by chef-founder Akane Eno to support industry partners from Yamagata — the project has finally culminated in the birth of a limited edition sake called La La La.
The money raised from Akane’s sumptuous tasting menu was used to purchase rice from farmers in Yamagata, which was then used by Azumanofumoto Sake Brewery to create a new sake exclusively for Ichigo Ichie. Chef Eno worked closely with students from Tōhoku University of Art & Design to name the sake and design its bottle label.
To experience the smoothness of this exclusive creation, book a table at Ichigo Ichie from now till June 30 to enjoy a complimentary welcome glass of La La La, or buy the whole bottle at $198++ (720ml). Diners who enjoyed the sanpō yoshi menu last year will be invited to return for dinner where they will be given a complimentary bottle of La La La.
Lunch is available as a five-course menu at $138++ or seven-course menu at $188++, while dinner is available as a nine-course menu at $350++. For reservations, call 9018 2897 or email [email protected].
