Earth: One Amazing Day
The much-awaited sequel to Earth, this documentary showcases the world in 24 hours. Over the course of a single day, we witness the sun rising over the highest mountains and remotest islands, and over exotic and urban jungles. Narrated with humour, intimacy, emotion and jaw-dropping cinematic splendour, Earth: One Amazing Day reminds us that every day is filled with unseen dramas and wonders. Movie opens on Jan 25.

Loving Vincent
This is an animation movie like no other. The story of Vincent van Gogh is told in oil-painting format, just like one of his masterpieces. The movie tells the story of a tormented artist who has been labelled a martyr, lustful satyr, madman, genius and layabout. The real Vincent is revealed through the letters he wrote to various people in the course of his life. Loving Vincent was first shot as a live action film with actors, then hand-painted over, frame by frame, in oils. It features the acting talents of Douglas Booth, Saoirse Ronan, Chris O’Dowd and Aidan Turner. Movie opens on Feb 1.

Visit exhibition by Japan’s teamLab
Ikkan Art Gallery presents its fourth solo exhibition of the Japanese collective, teamLab, with a nine-channel vertical tableau that illustrates the passing of time with the budding and blossoming of flowers until their withering ends, with different flowers blooming over the course of a year. Titled Continuous Life and Death at the Now of Eternity, the work is synchronised with the actual sunrise and sunset timings of its location, the scene growing bright as the sun rises before darkness sets in over the sunset. Rendered in real time by a computer program, the image on view never repeats itself.
