To mark the 75th Cannes Film Festival and Chopard’s 25th participation as an official partner, Caroline Scheufe- le, Chopard’s co-president and artistic director, has un- veiled the Red Carpet Collection. The theme for this year is “Chopard Loves Cinema” and it is the inspiration behind 75 Haute Joaillerie creations.
For her creations, Scheufele turns to the films that have had a lasting impact on her and the fabled scenes that have stuck in her memory. To do this she taps into some of the classic movies such as Charlie Chaplin’s City Lights and Cinderella, along with thriller master Alfred Hitchcock movies.

Earrings in titanium set with emeralds (9.78 cts), tsavorites (5.76 cts), jadeites (4.22cts), Paraiba tourmalines (3.49 cts) and orange sapphires.

The rose is given its time in the spotlight as it features in several pieces, including a choker composed of pink sapphire beads with a detachable floral motif that becomes a delicate brooch, along with a ring graced with exquisitely sculpted petals covered in pink sapphires protecting a two-carat diamond at the heart of the flower.
A tribute to the cinema greats would not be complete without references to wonderful childhood fairytales, endlessly revisited on-screen, Scheufele has dreamed up a pumpkin ring set with spessartite garnets and tsavorites. It opens in secret to reveal a diamond slipper, the essential accessory for reuniting the beautiful Cinderella with her Prince Charming. The epic story of the Dalmatians is given a jewellery interpretation in a bracelet featuring dogs sporting a coat of black and white diamonds — a feat that required no less than 470 hours of work by the maison’s jewellers.

Ring in Fairmined-certified ethical 18 cts white gold, titanium and aluminium, set with a 2-carat round-cut diamond, rubies (4.70 cts), pink sapphires (3.13 cts) and diamonds (0.56 cts).

For Alfred Hitchcock’s masterpiece To Catch a Thief, Scheufele has designed a necklace based on an exceptional 13.69-carat internally flawless D-grade diamond, evoking the spirit of the French Riviera whose luxury and relaxed lifestyle have been attracting the greatest stars for decades.

Earrings in Fairmined-certified ethical 18-carat white gold set with a grey spinel (8.20 cts), a pink spinel (7.87cts),anorangespinel(3.45cts)andagreenspinel (2.82 cts), all oval-shaped as well as pear-shaped and marquise-cut diamonds (5.28 cts).

Other designs include a pair of fish earrings, whose gem-stone scales sparkle like reflections on waves, while their tail fins evoke the lightness of titanium that replicates the peaceful movement of the ocean. Another example is the magnificent sun made of diamonds and coloured sapphires arranged in a yellow and orange monochrome effect, whose central motif can be worn as a brooch or necklace.

Choker necklace in Fairmined-certified 18-carat (cts) white gold set with a 10.30-cts round-cut emerald, a 4.9 0cts pear-shaped emerald and diamonds (10.63 cts

The Red Carpet Collection also comprises several pearl necklaces including a spectacular piece composed of 10 rows of Akoya pearls and punctuated by a pear-shaped spinel that falls gracefully into the hollow of the neck; a set of aquamarine and diamond rings and earrings shaped like the prow of a gondola and Venetian bridges; as well as earrings in tangy colours graced with yellow, pink and white diamonds.
