Bvlgari unveils its 2018 snake-inspired collectionSINGAPORE (Apr 2): Bvlgari’s Serpenti collection, which was created in the 1960s, comprises colourful enamelled snake-inspired necklaces and watches. The 2018 collection embodies the elegant and free-spirited woman. Bvlgari spokesmodel Lily Aldridge captures the very essence of the brand beautifully. The top model is a jet-setter and has millions of fans. Here are two pieces from the collection that you will love:
As with previous iterations, the emerald-accented Serpenti is the culmination of Bvlgari’s singular and celebrated artistry: The snake’s scales are neatly nestled into one another and carefully hinged together. The method, known as Tubolare, gives each piece the life-like pliability of a snake, enabling it to wrap itself sinuously around you, just like how the animal itself would.
The Serpenti Viper has eight designs. The range gives you endless options to customise your stack. Layered, the bangles sheath your arm in a subtle and captivating snakelike skin. Just as the viper camouflages itself and lays in wait, the jewellery’s snakeskin motif is soft and understated.
A good foundation
Are you getting the right amount of coverage from your foundation? Give the Le Teint Ultra by Chanel a try. This foundation offers a perfect balance between translucency and coverage for an exquisite complexion and a luminous matte finish.
Raffia raveHats are more commonly worn these days in sunny Singapore. Hermès has a collection in raffia, woven cotton, lambskin and more. Here’s one we love — a hat made of raffia weave with printed silk twill — which you can wear for a day out and about town. Match it with an off-shoulder dress or top.
Patent style
In the new Vara Rainbow, Salvatore Ferragamo combines the iconic features of its design legacy with the modernity of geometric compact design and a sleek, patent finish.
New face of Louis VuittonLouis Vuitton has a new muse, actress Emma Stone. For her first advertising campaign, the images were shot by Craig McDean in the rugged Californian desert, in keeping with the house’s “spirit of travel” DNA. The campaign features Stone wearing pieces from the pre-fall 2018 collection while holding a Capucines bag.
The Rénergie confidence
Lancôme’s new Rénergie Multi-Lift Ultra range combines the company’s expertise in cosmetic lifting and whitening. The Anti-Ageing Cream and Full Spectrum Serum treat most signs of skin ageing — wrinkles, loss of firmness and pigmentation marks. The ultraconcentrated serum is enriched with a vitamin C derivative to regulate melanin synthesis and a yeast extract to strengthen the dermal tissue. The cream contains flax extract, a natural ingredient that tightens the skin.
