This feathered piece is the highlight of the Red Carpet high jewellery collection by ChopardSINGAPORE (May 21): Each year since 2007, Caroline Scheufele, co-president and creative director of Chopard, has been challenging herself to come up with creative ways to showcase the talent and imagination of her craftsmen and women.
This year, 71 pieces were made for the Red Carpet Collection for the Cannes Film Festival that took place from May 8 to 19. The outstanding item is this amazing feather necklace. Inspired by the costumes and traditional skills of the people on the Mongolian Plateau, the necklace is made from the feathers of a rooster, grey heron, ostrich and black pheasant. The centrepiece is a sculpted gold cameo adorned with volutes of blue apatites (a group of phosphate minerals), violet garnets and red jasper. In the hands of feather artist Nelly Saunier (above), those materials have been turned into a work of art.

Chronograph for ladiesPatek Philippe has given its classic manufacture-made chronograph movement for feminine wrists — first introduced in 2009 — a totally new face. The Ref 7150/250R-001 features an elegant rose-gold 38mm case and a bezel set with 72 diamonds.
The timeless design is emphasised by refined vintage-look details while in the silvery opaline dial, contemporary style is combined with classic aesthetics. The sculpted Breguet hour and minute hands are in rose gold and the display layout is eminently legible.
The pulsimeter scale of the Ref 7150/250R-001 pays tribute to classic chronographs that can measure the cadence of an active lifestyle or a slightly increased heart rate. The shiny mink-gray alligator leather strap is secured with a rose-gold prong buckle that sparkles with the fire of 27 diamonds.
In the wildCara Delevingne appears in a new ad campaign for TAG Heuer shot by well-known wildlife photographer David Yarrow. In the course of the shoot, the model interacted with a lion without fear and the final result shows a fierce Delevingne facing the camera with her back to the animal. The message TAG Heuer wants to send? Be intense, fearless and feminine.
