The meteoric rise of the four-time Millionaire Realtor and ERA Top 10 Achiever for three consecutive years
After graduating from Nanyang Technological University, Gina Tng became a realtor, wanting to make it her lifelong career. It has always been her passion to be in the real estate industry and the idea of helping people find their dream homes resonates with her. As a fresh graduate, she had no industry connections and network. Despite that, she pursued her career passionately with grit to achieve phenomenal success in just 12 years.
Tng chose ERA over other real estate firms because of its strong reputation worldwide as well as its extensive inventory of properties in all sectors. Today, she’s a Group Division Director leading a growing team of over 80 elite realtors. Her expertise spans the breadth of the industry, from rentals and sales of public flats to high-end luxury condominiums and landed properties, as well as multi-million-dollar industrial and commercial properties. She believes it is crucial to be an all-rounded realtor so that she can assist her clients with their real estate portfolio management and to help them to maximise their capital appreciation in the future. She values relationships with long-term clients and helps them with the planning and management of multi-generational assets.
When she started on this career, her initial aim was to hit a six-figure monthly income. After clocking a six-figure monthly income for 16 consecutive months, she set her sights on even higher goals, subsequently hitting a quarter million, half a million and finally a seven-figure-income in one month, leading her to become an ERA Record Sales Realtor in June 2020.
Tng is one of the youngest millionaire realtors who has clocked over a million dollars in commission in one year — and for four times in a row. Out of which, for two years running, she achieved over a $2 million annual income for two consecutive years. She is one of ERA’s Top 10 Achievers out of 8,500 realtors for three years running and also the winner of the SEAA Diamond Award for two consecutive years — one of the top accolades awarded to top realtors. For several years, she rigorously completed over 100 transactions annually, a testament to her consistent results. Not only that, she has replicated her business model to lead her team to attain the ERA Top 10 Project Divisions Award for two quarters last year.
Tng strongly believes in upholding good ethics and values to succeed. She is highly efficient and conscientiously works on delivering results for her clients. She says: “Only with the right values and attitude will you get repeat business and referrals in this highly competitive industry. You have to stand out by being extremely knowledgeable, honest and capable of delivering results. It’s not about promising but rather delivering what you preach. Credibility is very important and a good reputation goes a long way.”

She has tackled numerous challenging cases, including business takeovers and sales of odd-shaped penthouses that she managed to transact despite the difficulties. Once, she transacted three penthouses in a single month. “I believe that every house can be sold if you believe in it. You have to apply the right marketing strategies, using the most effective platforms to give it maximum exposure. Ultimately, we just need to find the right buyer who appreciates the property.”
Her relationships with her clients go a long way. She puts their interest above everything else and will persevere until she delivers results. “It is not a one-time deal for me. I will help my clients even after a transaction is done and they can always count on me if they need any advice.” She has been managing many of her clients’ portfolios for over a decade, helping them with asset progression, restructuring of their real estate portfolio and ensuring they can tap on the capital appreciation in the future.
She believes that enriching her clients’ understanding of their assets and market trends is beneficial to them. “Realtors often meet their customers at important junctions in their lives. How many times can a person transact such a high-quantum asset? It is one of the most important decisions in their lives and we need to be more than professional: acting ethically and with integrity is essential. If I see a good deal, I’ll push for it. If a property doesn’t have the potential for market capitalisation in the future, I’ll let them know so they can make an informed decision on their own.”

As a female leader within ERA and the industry at a young age, Tng takes her role as a mentor seriously. “Women have soft skills that are important for the industry. We need to be compassionate and understand what people want from their mentors.” She conducts frequent training sessions for her team to share her expertise and on-the-ground practical skills. She believes in equipping them with the right knowledge, skills and business model to excel in this industry. Seeing her team perform gives her immense satisfaction, to know their lives have been transformed.
She is also the only female realtor in ERA who bought a Ferrari supercar three years ago, one of the goals she has set for herself. “I believe that women should be financially independent and dare to dream freely — work extremely hard with the right values and not wish for short-cuts. It will take a lot of time and determination to attain success in life. The sky’s the limit and you will get there one day if you hold on to your beliefs.”
A generous character who takes delight in giving and helping others, Tng is also an animal lover and family oriented. She has three dogs, two of which are adopted from a breeding farm, which she adores dearly.
Recently, she bought a stunning landed house designed by renowned architect Ernesto Bedmar. “This was something I had always dreamt of,” she enthuses. “It will be a home for my parents to live in and where the dogs can play and roam around freely. My dream has finally come true.”
