Logistics firm Ninja Van has raised US$578 million in a Series E funding round from a group of investors including Alibaba Group Holdings.
A Financial Times report from July notes that with a previous funding round of US$279 million last year, Ninja Van had already hit unicorn status with a valuation crossing US$1 billion, and that it plans to go for a listing, likely in the US, in around a year’s time.
The other participants in this round include existing investors Geopost/DPDgroup, B Capital Group, Monk’s Hill Ventures, and Zamrud, an entity linked to Brunei’s sovereign wealth fund.
