SINGAPORE (Nov 25): Prominently located at the junction of Robinson Road and Maxwell Road, CapitaLand’s latest office building 79 Robinson Road is poised to be a visually stunning addition to the Tanjong Pagar business district when it is completed in 2Q2020. Tenants will not only enjoy panoramic sea views of Marina South Pier and the low-lying conservation shophouses in the CBD, but will also experience flexibility in customising their work environments.

Thoughtfully designed by global award-winning architecture firm Gensler, the 29-storey Grade-A office building will offer over 500,000 sq ft of office space, featuring ultra-efficient rectilinear and column-free floor plates spanning 24,000 sq ft on 21 levels, aiding highly adaptable space planning. Furthermore, the unique tilted glass façade not only adds dramatic flair, but is also highly functional, allowing natural sunlight to illuminate the offices with minimal heat gain and glare. A duplex office penthouse unit on levels 27 and 28 features an enlarged double-volume grand room, curated for the exclusive use of a single occupier. Possibilities abound as the tenant can make a statement with a feature reception or create a business community hub within the dramatic lofty space.

A sky terrace on Level 21 and a roof garden at the top of the building intersperse the office zones, providing easy access to green spaces within the building. These vast green open spaces, with spectacular 360-degree coastal and city views, provide great respite from the daily hustle. The roof garden has a relaxed, al fresco setting, open to the sky, while the sky terrace is semi-sheltered, offering good shade from weather elements. Cocktail events and casual evening gatherings are just some of the examples on how the spaces can be utilised in time to come.

Core-flex solutions to suit every need

Evolving in tandem with the ever-changing business environment where flexibility is key, CapitaLand offers a “core-flex” solution that enables tenants to have greater choice and flexibility to address their changing business needs. Occupiers are able to lease traditional office space (core) and add on flexible spaces (flex) which are fully equipped office spaces available on demand.

Shared amenities within 79 Robinson Road include fully furnished office suites, business lounge, boardrooms, meeting rooms, and function rooms of varying sizes located on levels 2, 6 and 7. Bridge+, an extension of CapitaLand’s business space portfolio, manages these shared amenities and provides community-building activities which enrich the working experience of tenants and members alike.

Bridge+ offers a mixture of workspace solutions comprising flexi desks, dedicated fixed desks and private suites to cater to different working profiles.

These solutions help to complement the “core” offerings of the building, by giving tenants access to different types of workspaces to suit different work activities, hence giving tenants a competitive advantage at 79 Robinson Road.

Better together: Empowered by community

At 79 Robinson Road, the community thread is weaved into the occupier experience through the integration with the Bridge+ ecosystem. Tenants can look forward to a variety of curated events that are aimed at building a strong community, an environment of knowledge-sharing to encourage innovation, cross-fertilisation of ideas and multi-disciplinary connection.

Bridge+ is working closely with industry partners to bring together an ecosystem of FinTech innovators, ranging from international organisations, financial institutions, technology companies, venture capital firms, and communities of start-ups, making it an ideal destination for the growing FinTech ecosystem.

Heart of the action

Apart from the community within the building, tenants of 79 Robinson Road will be connected to the broader Tanjong Pagar community via a direct underground link to AXA Tower just opposite the building. With this added convenience at their doorstep, tenants will enjoy seamless sheltered access to Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. Within a short walking distance is Telok Ayer MRT Station on the Downtown Line. When Shenton Way MRT Station on the Thomson-East Coast Line and Prince Edward MRT Station on the Circle Line opens in 2021 and 2025 respectively, the two stations will also be within the 500m radius of the building, enhancing connectivity across the island.

In addition, to support the growing trend of cyclists in the city, the development offers end-of-trip facilities with showers and changing rooms for tenants’ convenience.

Tenants are spoiled for choice with the wide array of food and beverage options in the vicinity, stretching from Tanjong Pagar Centre to Maxwell Food Centre, and even to Ann Siang Hill, Lau Pa Sat, and Asia Square.

Today, Tanjong Pagar is a distinct area where charming conserved shophouses sit alongside new office and residential buildings, a fascinating blend of timelessness and the cutting edge.

Set to be a commercial focal point, 79 Robinson Road offers tenants the best of both worlds: the opportunity to customise space to meet the needs of an ever-changing workforce and a community that is at the forefront of innovation.
