(Oct 16): The Singapore dollar appreciated against the US dollar for much of this year. But lately, the trend is reversing. On Oct 11, the Singapore dollar traded at 1.3543 against the greenback. It is down 1.1% from its peak this year at 1.3399 on Sept 7. This is in tandem with the trough in the US dollar index.
