The discussions are ongoing and no definitive terms have been agreed upon between the parties yet, says the group. There is also no certainty that any transaction will come out of the discussion, it adds.

The announcement comes after <i><a href="https://www.theedgesingapore.com/news/deals-joint-ventures-alliances/peter-lims-thomson-medical-eyes-vietnam-fv-hospital-deal" target="_blank">Bloomberg</a> </i>reported that the group is in “advanced talks” to buy a controlling stake in Vietnam’s FV Hospital.

Shares in Thomson closed flat at 5.9 cents on June 8.
