The management vacuum at MC Payment, which was the scene of a boardroom fight, has been filled.

The company has appointed Tan Chee Keong as its new managing director.

Tan, 45, was previously on the board as a non-executive and independent director.

Up till June 2021, he was head of payments consulting at American Express International. Tan held various positions at Citibank prior to that.

In addition, MC Payment has appointed Ng Kok Peng as its new chief financial officer. Ng, 41, joined from another listed company, engineering firm TEE International. He took over the job from Sam Choy Meng.

For three months prior to Tan and Ng’s appointments, MC Payment’s single largest shareholder Ching Chiat Kwong pitted against the company’s former CEO Anthony Koh and chairman Albert Cheok, who resigned earlier this month.
