SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) and Honeywell, on May 11, announced that they have entered into a memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the licensing of repair capability for parts on Boeing 737 and 787 aircraft.

The MOA covers the licensing agreement for the repair and overhaul of the 737 and 787 air data inertial reference unit (ADIRU). It will also cover a parts supply agreement for ADIRU piece parts to support the repair.

The licensing agreement will be for a period of 10 years and will enable SIAEC to perform licensed ADIRU repair for global customers.

“This is an important repair capability development to add to the recently announced new Component Services Division at SIAEC,” says Ng Chin Hwee, CEO of SIAEC. “Customers, especially those located in the Asia Pacific region, will benefit from the new 737 and 787 ADIRU repair capability amongst our range of component repair services and maintenance solutions.”
