SINGAPORE (July 23): When thousands of users across Singapore, Malaysia and Australia discovered they could not get their deposits back from bike-sharing company oBike, they were understandably surprised, and furious. In June, oBike abruptly shut down operations in Singapore and some cities in Australia, allegedly due to financial woes. But the trouble brewing at the Singapore-registered bike-sharing operator may have been evident to anyone following its fundraising journey.
