1 The brief meeting on June 12 between US President Donald Trump and Kim Jong-un, chairman of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, was a historic feat. Both countries have been technically at war since the Korean War ended in July 1953 in an armistice, rather than an official peace agreement.
