SINGAPORE (Apr 23): “Bilateral deals are far more efficient, profitable and better for our workers. Look how bad WTO is to US.” — US President Donald Trump, slamming the Trans-Pacific Partnership one week after directing officials to explore a return to it.

Here are five things you need to know this week:

1 Non-oil domestic exports (NODX) declined 2.7% y-o-y in March, easing from a 6% decline in February this year. The decrease was driven by a fall in both electronics and non-electronics exports. Total exports declined too, but by a lesser 0.7% y-o-y. Total trade for March fell 0.6% y-o-y, following a 1.6% increase in February.
