SINGAPORE (June 25): Hong Leong Finance (HLF) today launched its Hong Leong Finance Empowers Me campaign starting with bus advertisements, and with plans for further roll-out at events and online platforms over the rest of the year.

The finance company’s new campaign comes with the goal of enhancing HLF’s market presence and raising awareness among the younger generation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs), while also reinforcing its identity as an SME specialist.

In a press release on Monday, HLF says it hopes to reach out to more SMEs through its campaign, to empower them to grow and manage costs better.

Citing its inaugural SME market survey which showed that 75% of Singapore SMEs put sales growth as their top priority, while 36% are “hard pressed on high business costs”, HLF highlights bakery business Tai Chong Kok as a successful case study which the finance company has helped to achieve significant cost savings through its SME Capability Ready Programme (SME CARE).

This was accomplished with Tai Chong Kok acquiring a new vacuum packing machine via HLF’s Equipment Loan, which in turn eased the company’s’ cash flow as they waited for the Capability Development Grant Payout for the machine, recalls HLF.

“Hong Leong Finance is proud to have helped many SMEs like Tai Chong Kok grow successfully to the next level with access to smart funding. We understand from our SME market survey that their top priorities are to grow sales and manage cost,” comments Ang Tang Chor, president of HLF.

“Hong Leong Finance looks forward to partnering more SMEs in their business endeavours and enabling them to achieve sustainable growth,” he adds.
