Fraser & Neave seeks to beef up Vinamilk stake

SINGAPORE (Sept 27): Fraser & Neave is seeking to buy an additional 1.5% stake in Vietnam Dairy Products, according to market talk.

The acquisition of the additional stake in the state-owned company, commonly known as Vinamilk, will take the company's shareholding to over 20%, from 18.7% at present.

At current share prices, the stake increase would be worth US$142 million ($193 million).
