SINGAPORE (Dec 18): Here are some stocks that may move the market this Monday morning:

Vietnam's trade ministry said on Sunday that Vietnam Beverage Co, a unit of Thai Beverage, was the only investor seeking to buy all shares of Vietnamese brewer Sabeco on offer worth nearly US$5 billion ($6.75 billion). Shares in ThaiBev closed 2 cents higher at 97 cents on Friday.

StarHub has entered into an agreement to acquire D’Crypt for up to $122 million. Led by Dr Antony Ng, D’Crypt provides leading-edge cryptographic technology for high security applications, systems and products. Shares in StarHub closed at $2.92 on Friday.

SIA Group airlines' November passenger load factor improved 3.5 percentage points to 80.7% from a year ago. Passenger carriage (measured in revenue passenger kilometres) increased 7.6% compared to last year, outpacing capacity (measured in available seat kilometres) injection of 3.0%. Shares in SIA closed at $10.51 on Friday.

Cityneon’s US subsidiary Station-LV is working with Korean production firm Fabulous Inc to help promote the Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N exhibition at Treasure Island, Las Vegas. Station-LV has entered into an agreement with Fabulous Inc to set up an interactive, exterior digital media signage board for Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N exhibition at Treasure Island, Las Vegas. Shares in Cityneon closed at 94 cents on Friday.

GKE Corp’s subsidiary Gas Aries is divesting its 50% stake in a liquefied gas carrier vessel to JV partner Sunrise Marine for US$1.08 million ($1.46 million). GKE says it will recognise a net loss of $6.9 million from the proposed divestment. Shares in GKE closed at 9 cents on Friday.

Olam International is selling a 50% stake in its wholly-owned subsidiary, Far East Agri, for US$100 million ($135 million) to Mitr Phol Sugar Corporation as part of a strategic partnership for integrated sugar milling and refining in Indonesia, through which both companies intend to jointly explore the development of a green-field sugar mill in Indonesia. Shares in Olam closed 1 cent lower at $2.16 on Friday.

CapitaLand's The Ascott Limited is venturing into Africa with contracts to manage two properties in Accra, the capital of Ghana. These are namely the 220-unit Ascott 1 Oxford Street Accra, which will open in phases from 2019, as well as the 40-unit Kwarleyz Residence due to open in 4Q18. Shares in CapitaLand closed 3 cents lower at $3.50 on Friday.

Markets
Last Friday, US stocks climbed to a fresh high as investors bet that a tax-overhaul plan before Congress would pass, likely boosting profits for many US companies. The Dow closed 143.08 points or 0.58% higher at 24,651.74. The Nasdaq rose 80.06 points or 1.17% higher at 6,936.58 while the S&P 500 Index closed 23.8 points or 0.9% higher at 2,675.81.

Earlier, the benchmark Straits Times Index had lost 18.84 points or 0.55% to end at 3,416.94. Turnover came in at $1.5 billion worth $1.3 billion, with 209 decliners against 173 advancers.
