SIIC Environment posts 5.3% rise in 3Q earnings to $19.2 mil on higher income
SINGAPORE (Nov 8): SIIC Environment, the China-based water treatment and environmental protection company, recorded a 5.3% rise in 3Q earnings to RMB94 million ($19.2 million) on higher operating and maintenance as well as financial income.

SINGAPORE (Nov 8): SIIC Environment, the China-based water treatment and environmental protection company, recorded a 5.3% rise in 3Q earnings to RMB94 million ($19.2 million) on higher operating and maintenance as well as financial income.

Revenue fell 21.4% to RMB394.9 million as sales from construction fell 74.9% to RMB 42.7 million but this was offset by a 9.1% rise in operating and maintenance income from service concession arrangements to RMB 216.9 million and a 9.8% rise in financial income from service concession arrangements to RMB 84 million.

For the 9M to Sept, earnings increased 18.2% to RMB284.7 million due mainly to contribution from newly acquired entities as well as contribution from existing entities.
