SINGAPORE (Feb 13): Public transport operator SBS Transit saw its FY2019 earnings inch up 1.5% to $81.3 million from $80.1 million last year.

Revenue for the year came in at $1.44 billion, some 4.5% higher than $1.38 billion in FY2018. This was spearheaded by a 4.4% jump in the group’s public transport services segment to $1.38 million from $1.33 million in the previous year. The increase came on the back of higher bus service fees and rail fares which were attributable to an increase in ridership and average fares due to the fare hike which came into effect from December 29, 2018.
