Ong Chang Kee’s 2Q earnings fall 30% to $1.6 mil
SINGAPORE (Nov 10): Ong Chang Kee, the curry puff supplier and seller, posted a 29.9% fall in earnings to $1.6 million from a year ago. Half-year earnings fell 5.8% to $2.5 million.

SINGAPORE (Nov 10): Ong Chang Kee, the curry puff supplier and seller, posted a 29.9% fall in earnings to $1.6 million from a year ago. Half-year earnings fell 5.8% to $2.5 million.

Group revenue increased 5.9% to $20.3 million as revenue from retail outlets grew 5.8% or $1.1 million due to sales contribution from new outlets and higher sales from existing outlets. Revenue from other services such as delivery and catering services, increased by 12.8% or $49,000 mainly due to higher sales generated from its Malaysia factory sales.

Other income increased by $158,000 mainly due to an increase in government grant income of $154,000 to support the group’s productivity initiatives.
