SINGAPORE (Nov 9): Ellipsiz, the probe card solutions provider, reported a 70% drop in 1Q earnings to $700,000 despite higher sales.

This was due to a one-time impairment provision of $1 million on the financial asset and additional professional fee expenses of $0.2 million in relation to a mandatory cash offer exercise compared to a one-time income from recovery of bad debts of $1.2 million a year ago.

Revenue for 1Q rose 9% to $27.7 million on 11% and 8% higher revenue from distribution and services solutions (DSS) and the probe card solutions (PCS) respectively.
