Former Google employee Aman Narain is set to take on the role of head of platforms, under the commercial banking arm of HSBC.

With Singapore as his base, Narain will lead HSBC commercial banking’s global platforms strategy in areas such as development, commercialisation and the innovation of market-leading propositions.

Narain’s experience at Google includes the build-out and commercialisation of revenue-generating ecosystems such as Google Pay in Singapore. He was also part of the team that designed the GooglePlex Account in the US.

Prior to this, Narain led the digital and marketing transformation for Schroders and held several leadership positions at Standard Chartered.
