SINGAPORE (Oct 2): The US dollar trades slightly stronger against the Singapore dollar, Friday morning, broadly in line with US dollar strength elsewhere in Asia.

But, according to Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp., it is likely helped by weak manufacturing data reported late Thursday in Singapore.

“Singapore’s September manufacturing [purchasing managers’ index] disappointed with the headline reading deteriorating more than expected,” OCBC says.
