SINGAPORE (Oct 1): CIMB says a deal between TPG Telecom and Vodafone to switch the mobile users of the Australian firm to Vodafone's network is unlikely to hurt Singapore Telecommunications’ unit.

Singtel's Australian unit Optus could lose nearly 487,000 users, or 5.2% of its base as TPG switches to Vodafone, CIMB says.

The hit on the revenue is unlikely to be much.
