SINGAPORE (Dec 3): UOB Kay Hian believes that the concerns over a rise in interest rates in Singapore have been overblown.

The house keeps its overweight rating on the property sector and says that property stocks’ current share price factor in a 150 basis point rise in interest rates.

“Real estate investment trusts are able to transform into growth vehicles in an inflationary interest rate environment,” the research house says.
