SINGAPORE (Dec 1): UOB Kay Hian has initiated coverage for iFAST Corporation, the operator of funds and investments distribution platform Fundsupermart.com with a “buy” recommendation.

According to UOB Kay Hian’s analyst Thai Wei Ying, iFAST is a beneficiary of the growth in high net worth individuals in Asia Pacific — predicted to double to 12 million individuals — with its suite of investment products.

At the same time, given the scalability of iFAST’s systems, the group is also able cope with growing volumes without the need for major capital expenditure. “This would also mean new initiatives are launched quickly, reducing time to market and extending market reach,” said Thai in a note on Thursday.
