Celebrate Singapore’s 52nd birthday in style with these novel yet nostalgic creations inspired by the nation’s unique culinary heritage.

Creme Maison takes its own spin on Singapore’s “old but gold” classic breakfast that is traditionally served alongside two soft-boiled eggs and a cuppa. Indulge in the bakery’s Caffe Kaya Toast cake ($68) which boasts the softness of white bread by using sponge cake that’s infused with kopi-gao and layered with the sweet, creamy flavours of kaya.


National Day Preview nights may be over, but diners can still enjoy a panoramic view of Singapore’s skyline over a five-course National Day Set Dinner Menu at Forlino until August 8. For $148++, you’ll get to savour a mix of dishes both contemporary and iconic, like the Grilled Chicken Satay with Chicken Rice Risotto, Balsamic Soya Sauce, Peanut Sauce, as well as the Chili Crab & Lobster Linguine with Datterini Tomato, ‘Laksa’ Emulsion. End it off with the Salted Egg White Chocolate Sformato with Mascarpone Cream, Salted Egg Lava, Vanilla Gelato – a sweet-savoury take on the popular local food trend.
