Stocks in Singapore closed 0.26% higher last Friday. The Straits Times Index rose 8.53 points to end at 3,270.30. Here are some stocks to watch this Wednesday morning:
Singapore insurer Great Eastern Holdings said fourth-quarter net profit tripled to $225.6 million from $68.9 million a year earlier on trading gains and a better investment performance due to market recovery.
Property developer United Industrial Corp said full-year net profit doubled to $391.6 million from $195.4 million a year earlier after gains in revaluation of investment properties.
Transport operator ComfortDelGro posted a 5.6% jump in full-year net profit to $248.9 million from $235.6 million a year earlier, with broad-based growth in revenue from nearly all units.
