Raffles Education Corporation has launched the Raffles American School, its American-curriculum international school in EduCity@Iskandar.

Located in Nusajaya, Iskandar Development Region in Johor, Malaysia, the school will prepare students for admission to top US and Western Universities and will be accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, USA (WASC).

Raffles American School will offer an American pre-K-12 curriculum, with Advanced Placement (AP) offerings in the high school.

The school will be opening in two phases. Currently accepting applications for August 2012, RAS is open for grades 1 through 8 in a temporary location in the Anjung Neighborhood Center in Nusajaya, Iskandar.

Raffles American School’s permanent site is targeted for phase 1 completion for Kindergarten through Grade 12, including full boarding capacity in the 2014-2015 school year.

RAS is collaborating with International Schools Services, New Jersey, USA (ISS), an established global company that has advanced the quality of international education for children across the world with its curriculum development, school management, supply sourcing, and recruitment.

ISS has managed nearly 100 company-sponsored schools and currently works with more than 300 international schools to provide comprehensive, world-class services and solutions for learning communities and corporations.

Raffles Education now has some 33 colleges in 30 cities across 13 countries.
