The following companies may have unusual price changes in Singapore trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses, and share prices are from the previous close. Singapore’s Straits Times Index dropped 0.7% to 3,184.60.
Singapore’s Keppel Corp (KPLM.SI), the world’s largest builder of oil rigs, said on Sunday it has secured an order from Clearwater Capital Partners to build two jackup rigs for US$360 million ($462 million). Keppel Corp. fell 1.2% to $11.36.
GuocoLeisure (GLL SP): The owner of hotels in the UK, US and Asia said second-quarter profit more than tripled to US$19.1 million ($24.5 million) from US$5.5 million a year ago. The stock fell 1.4% to 69.5 cents.
Frasers Centrepoint Trust (FCT SP): The shopping mall operator partly owned by Fraser & Neave (FNN SP) will release its first-quarter results tomorrow during the midday break. The shares were unchanged at $1.52.
Keppel Land (KPLD SP): The real estate arm of the world’s biggest oil-rig builder will announce its full-year earnings tomorrow after market close. The company may report a net income of $452 million in 2010, according to the average estimate by 23 analysts compiled by Bloomberg. That compares with $280 million in the previous year. The stock gained 0.2% to $4.53.
Parkway Life Real Estate Investment Trust (PREIT SP): The health-care trust partly owned by Asia’s biggest hospital operator said full-year distributable income increased 14% to $53.1 million from a year earlier as gross revenue climbed 20% to $80 million. The shares rose 0.6% to $1.78.
Saizen Real Estate Investment Trust (SZREIT SP): The owner of apartments in Japan said its chief operating officer Ng Bee Ting has resigned effective Jan. 23 to pursue other career opportunities. The stock was unchanged at 17 cents.
Singapore Airlines (SIA SP): The world’s second- biggest carrier by market value said it will increase its fuel surcharge by between US$3–$27 ($3.85–$34.6) per sector for tickets issued on or before Jan. 27, reflecting rising jet fuel prices. The shares lost 0.4% to $15.06.
Suntec Real Estate Investment Trust (SUN SP): The property trust partly owned by billionaire Li Ka-shing said its fourth- quarter payout declined 20% to 2.316 cents from a year earlier. The stock rose 1.9% to $1.58.
