Keppel (BN4.SG) has “a very high chance” of winning 6 rig contracts from Petrobras, while SembMarine (S51.SG) will probably not receive any from Brazilian oil giant, which recently unveiled outcome of 28-rig tender exercise, says Daiwa.
Adds results not final as bidders can still adjust asking prices, but says existing bids reflect who may be favored.
As SembMarine’s bids higher than Keppel’s, with Brazilian yard EAS submitting lowest bids in 2 of 3 categories, house says success for SembMarine not promising.
