Palm-oil producers: Crude palm oil for February delivery climbed as much as 2.9 in Kuala Lumpur today, headed for its second day of advance.
Golden Agri-Resources (GGR SP), the world’s second- biggest palm-oil producer, gained 4.2% to 74 cents. Indofood Agri Resources (IFAR SP), the palm-oil unit of Indonesia’s biggest noodle maker, increased 3.4% to $2.74. Wilmar International (WIL SP), the world’s largest palm-oil trader, rose 0.5% to $6.06.
CapitaLand (CAPL SP), Southeast Asia’s biggest developer, gained 1.1% to $3.75. The company plans to sell Ascott Raffles Place in Singapore’s central business area, the Business Times reported, without indentifying its sources. CapitaLand’s Ascott Residence Trust has the first option to buy the property, which could be worth around $250 million, the newspaper said.
