Koh Brothers Group, the construction, property development and specialist engineering solutions provider, says it submitted the winning bid of $37.78 million for national water agency PUB’s Geylang River project.

Beginning from Dunman Road and ending at Guillemard Road, the project is part of PUB’s Active, Beautiful, Clean Waters (ABC Waters) programme, which seeks to transform Singapore’s reservoirs and waterways into beautiful and clean streams, rivers and lakes.

This multi-faceted project entails the construction of a 830-metre-long by 26-metre-wide drain, the reconstruction of two three-cell box culverts and the construction of ABC Waters design features, which will help cleanse rainwater runoff. The widening of the drain will also help improve the drainage of area, and is part of PUB’s long-term flood alleviation programme.

Work on the project started this month and should be completed by May 2013.

With this new contract, Koh Brothers’ current order book has increased to $407.0 million.
