Shares of Singapore’s Biosensors International <BIOS.SI>, which licenses medical technology, rose 6% toS$1.06 on Monday after it said an investor had bought a near 30% stake.
Over 19.8 million shares had changed hands by 0240 GMT.
Biosensors said in a statement Autumn Eagle had entered into sale and purchase agreements with seven companies to buy a total of 319.3 million Biosensor shares, or a 29.47% stake in the firm.
"We need more details from the company, but it seems like Autumn Eagle may be a strategic investor and could help to boost the business of Biosensors," said a trader from Kim Eng Securities.
