Mainboard-listed Darco Water Technologies, the provider of integrated engineering and knowledge-based water treatment solutions, today announced a RM27 million ($12 million) industrial water project to build a combined integrated solutions package for pure water production, chemical delivery, wastewater detoxification, and sewerage & grey water Treatment Systems for US-based MEMC Electronic Materials Corporation (MEMC), a leading player in the solar industry. The system is to be used in MEMC’s solar cell production facility in Malaysia.

This contract represents the largest order that Darco has secured in the solar industry to date. It is also an indication of the vast progress that the Company has made over the past years as more established leading MNCs approached the Company for its wastewater treatment expertise.

It also brings to-date, the Company’s total confirmed orders for the industrial sector to $30.6 million for FY2010. Darco is also actively securing new orders in the municipal water treatment sector and receives sizable recurring revenue from its water management services.
